These pictures illustrate the various events that took place during the 2000 festival. Bell ringing. Bell Captain Tim Waterman and his team rang a full peal of 5040 changes on the eight bells of Chiddingly Church. Entertainment by Anatolia, a group specialising in the traditional folk music and dance of Turkey. Ophaboom's Gothic Farce based upon Victor Hugo's story of the Hunchback of Notre-Dame, Our annual arts and Crafts Exhibition, An evening of Folk & Blues at the 6 Bells, The legendary John Kirkpatrick in concert, Billed as a medical trauma, the Village Show, entitled Public Enema No1, The Inside Out Theatre Company, put on The Shoemaker and the Elf, a play with puppets aimed at a younger audience. The classical concert featured the world premier of a new work entitled "Chiddingly Seasons" by composer and musician David Cullen. The festival closed with a bang as the East Hoathly and Halland Carnival Society conducted their annual firework display. Sculptor Sue Nunn created a unique 5 piece sculpture from a single oak tree. The Millennium Oak, set in the specially created Millennium Garden a lasting reminder of the 2000 festival
