These pictures illustrate 2006 festival.

The Open  gardens included the ‘Spirit of the Village’, by sculptor Sue Nunn and many local gardens including Sigglewriggle at Nash Street, and the delightful cottage garden of Cordwainers in the heart of Chiddingly, plus a scrumptious cream tea in the garden of the Old Vicarage. In support for the Millennium Oak Sculpture and Garden (MOSAG), and for National Talking Newspapers and Magazines for the Blind.

Director Corin Hardy ran an animation workshop offering the  chance to spend a day learning the magic of animation alongside Corin, and to create a mini epic of your own.

Bell ringing. Bell Captain Tim Waterman and his team rang a full peal of changes on the eight bells of Chiddingly Church.

  The Classical Traditions of Song in England in the 17th Century were given voice be Emma Kirkby (Soprano) and Anthony Rooley (Lute) internationally recognised musicians with a programme of lutesong by composers of the 17th century from Thomas Campion to William Boyce.

Catherine Smith, Brendan Cleary, Abi Curtis, and Lorna Thorpe, once again performed poetry in the 6 Bells Pub. Which was greatly enjoyed.

The village hall held an evening of Kathak dance with its roots in the ancient storytelling tradition of the temples a style that is a synthesis of Indo-Persian thought, combining the rich influence of both Hindu and Muslim cultures.

Performed by Mishra, Anuradha and accompanied by Surjeet Singh on Sarangi, Tofail Ahmed on Vocals and Harmonium and Sumit Mishra and Dheeraj Mishra on Tabla and bol recitation.

Jazz was supplied by Gwyneth Herbert again at the village hall. Miss Herbert is a multitalented musician and was greatly enjoyed.

The Curst Sons, once again featured at the "Not the Festival" Folk and Blues Club, with music also in the top bar.

Also Folk stars Chris While and Julie Matthews played and sang at the Village Hall. Their songs covered life as they see it, from the industrial wastelands of the north, to injustice and freedom, matters of the heart and everything in between.

The Village Play "Up Ziggerat" was written and performed by the usual suspects!

Cornelius & Jones presented a puppet adaptation of Pinocchio.

The Badke Quartet  performed music by Mozart, Shostakovich and Haydn at the Village Church
