The Art and Craft Exhibition is a one day show that encapsulates creativity in all it’s various dimensions.
This year we have a wonderful show lined up - including jewellery, felt bags and knitted toys, silk puppets, books, prints, paintings, turned wood, ceramics photographs and much more , from artists and makers from all over Sussex. Some are old friends to the Festival, some are new faces , and some will be giving demonstrations of their making skills in , for example, woodcuts and spinning.
Once again we will have an activity marquee , with children’s workshops in mosaics, beeswax candle decorating, badge making and clay work. There will be a performance by Elfin Grove puppeteers of The Queen Bee , and a related workshop in puppet making.
During the day there will be performances from Morris Dancers, Belly Dancers and the famous Chiddingly Mummers – all this and a food fair with local farmers selling their produce - plus 1648 Brewery makes a return to the beer tent with their fine locally brewed ales.
