From Calcutta to Bolton, Manchester to London and now appearing in Chiddingly Sussex we invite you to come and hear Arun Ghosh’s musical vision that reflects his rich heritage and wide ranging musical palette.
This contemporary jazz sound of urban beat and indo-jazz alongside his South Asian origin has made Arun and the band a real hit on the British Jazz scene. The sweet and timeless melodies from his flowing clarinet give birth to soaring improvisations with amazing sax, bass, tabla and drums makes this a really exciting mix.
His debut album “Northern Namaste” in 2008 had instant interest and Arun and the band have been playing to packed audiences here and in Europe ever since.
Alongside this Arun collaborates with other musicians in the world of theatre, film, poetry and dance.
The London Jazz festival adored him the Purcell room was sold out as was Pizza on the Park the Vortex and Ronnie’s. We welcome you to this year’s jazz event with much enthusiasm for a new and original sound on the British Jazz scene that we know you will enjoy.
