The Return of the Chiddingly Beer Festival!

Saturday and Sunday from 12.00 am

In 2008 for our 30th Chiddingly Festival in association with our friends at 1648 brewing Co. we presented a small but perfectly formed Beer Festival which celebrated Sussex beers and some excellent ciders.  We 1648 Brewing Cotook a break last year to recover our strength and now, for 2010, the Beer Festival returns in triumph!  It will span the Saturday and Sunday of the opening weekend, showcasing the fine quality of small breweries in the South of England.  There will be a range of additional entertainment should you need more than a brimming tankard: on Saturday we’ll have a stage in the field with live music from local bands and musicians; Alison Hallewell of the Sea Gypsies offer a Belly Dance workshop, Old Star a Border Morris workshop in the hall; Claire Martin hosts a Jazz workshop in the church; there will be food available during the day and a Lamb Roast before Barron Brady’s evening gig.  On Sunday the beer will continue to flow as a background to the Art & Craft show and all its associated entertainments, and will then become the bar and meeting place for the rest of the Festival.
