The Vesuvio Wind Quintet was founded in 2006 whilst all members were studying at Trinity College of Music. The members of the Quintet are Holly Cook, Ben Marshall, Kathryn Allnutt, Grainne Devery and William Gibson.

They work in and around London and have given many acclaimed performances together and individually, including at the Bloomsbury International Recital Series, The Horniman Museum – to celebrate British woodwind instrument making – Blackheath Halls and Lauderdale House. Individually they have performed with the Docklands Symphonia, Goldsmiths’ Symphonia, Southbank Symphonia, Ulster Orchestra and Tomorrow’s Warriors Jazz Orchestra.

They are focussed on performing contemporary quintet repertoire by living British Composers, and they combine this with standard repertoire of both European and British works from early 19^th century onwards to make varied and interesting programme.

We welcome Vesuvio this year for the 31^st annual Classical Concert, as a young Quintet of exceptional talent.
